How the calculation works
The calculator adds measured room areas, applies waste, and divides the result by user-entered carton coverage. It makes no universal claim about board or carton coverage.
Formula
Adjusted area = total room area × (1 + waste % ÷ 100) Cartons = adjusted area ÷ entered carton coverage, rounded up
Worked example
A 15 ft × 12 ft room measures 180 square feet. With 10% waste it requires 198 square feet; at an entered 22 square feet per carton, that is 9 cartons.
