How the calculation works
All inputs are converted to feet before length, width, and depth are multiplied. The cubic-foot result is divided by 27 for cubic yards and converted to cubic meters.

Worked example
A 12 ft × 6 ft area at 3 in deep contains 18 cubic feet, or about 0.67 cubic yards and 0.51 cubic meters.
